How I Survived the East Coast Arctic Blast

Happy 2018! I’m on my flight back from freezing cold Northern Virginia to sunny and warm Los Angeles. I was not prepared for the crazy arctic blast so I can’t wait to get back home. So glad I moved to California- the weather there was painful!

Thankfully, I had lots to distract me from the horrific weather (which honestly could have been worse).

The holidays are all about family for me, so my first priority was spending time with my parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews. I was also blessed to have some time with a few close friends, however I didn’t even get close to seeing everyone that I wanted to. You know how hectic the holidays can be!

This trip was very productive in so far as I made a visit to the dentist for a teeth cleaning, got a facial from one of my best friends, Laura Dobi owner of the Green Revolution Skin Studio, treated myself to a much needed haircut, AND got a mani-pedi. I feel like a new woman!

I spent New Years Eve with one of my best friends from high school, Rachel, attending a “glow-flow” class at Core Power, eating a healthy yet yummy dinner at True Food Kitchen (one of my fave spots back in VA), and ringing in 2018 at her mom’s house with a glass of champagne. We did something very similar last year and it felt so amazing that we decided to make this a new tradition.

The yoga class was literally the first time I had been to an exercise class in two months, so I was dead tired by midnight. We both ended up turning in around 12:30.

The next morning we continued our tradition of reflecting on 2017 and getting clarity on our desires for 2018.

Looking back at 2017 the greatest lesson I learned was this:

I have a habit of putting too many things on my plate because I have a “story” that I am not good enough and need to prove myself worthy of my parents’ financial investment in my education.

I found that I was self-sabotaging by taking on too much instead of focusing my energy on a maximum of 3 things. In 2018 I am focusing on simplifying my life as much as possible.

As you’ve probably already guessed, one of my desires for the new year is to move into the perfect place for me and Loren. We looked at many homes and apartments over the last few months of 2017, but nothing felt right, so I’ve concluded it just wasn’t the right time. However, this is the year it’s going to happen!

Another one of my desires is to be of even higher service to the world and my clients through love, sex, and relationship coaching.

To that end, I’m currently working on some new tools to share with you that will help get YOU the results you desire in love, sex, and relationships this year.

Now that I’m back in Venice I’m keeping my head down for the next couple of weeks to ensure that I create the best tools possible - ones that allow you put new learnings into action immediately.

I’ll be checking in again in two weeks. Look for me in your inbox some time during the week of January 22nd.

In the meantime, take some time to reflect on 2017 and get clarity on your desires for 2018 (hint: this will help you with the new tool I’m going to share with you very soon). I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been up to!

Sending love and light,

Heather xoxo
