I want to share one of my most powerful practices with you
We’re celebrating Thanksgiving here in the United States. So this week I’m totally focused on food, family (friends and blood-related), and gratitude.
I’ve found that the more gratitude I express for the wonderful things in my life, the more I attract into my life to be grateful for. I am so sure of this that I have created a daily gratitude practice that has been a consistent part of my life for the past 3 years.
I begin each day with at least 5 minutes of meditation, and I start each session by saying thank you for all the amazing things in my life. I give thanks for my healthy body and mind, the healthy and loving relationships I enjoy, the roof over my head, access to healthy delicious food to eat, my car, my bed, and my business. I love my life!
After meditating, I go over my tasks for the day and organize myself (it’s better if I do this the night before, but it doesn’t always happen - I’m working on this). After I know what I have to do that day, I write in my journal. I do a brain dump of the things that are taking up a lot of room in my brain first and then I write down what I’m grateful for.
I find this practice to be very focusing and powerful. It primes my brain for love, joy, creativity, and of course, more gratitude. I will never go without it.
I’ve seen in my own life and in the lives of other creative entrepreneurs that success and gratitude go hand in hand. This Thanksgiving holiday, I challenge you to create your own daily gratitude practice. Pay attention to what starts happening in your life once you start. Prepare to be delighted.
